The women who gathered at the annual Women’s Candlelight Dinner at Lutheran Church of the Cross on Thursday, December 9, 2021, generously donated personal care products to the Baldwin Women’s Residence. The contributions included bars of bath soap and bottles of body wash; shower accessories and towels; toothpastes and toothbrushes; packages of feminine products; grooming supplies; bottles and tubes of shampoo and conditioner; jars and bottles of creams, lotions, and body sprays; and many pieces of costume jewelry.
The Saint Petersburg Free Clinic Baldwin Women’s Residence provides safe, supportive, transitional housing for single, homeless women who are capable of living independently. The Baldwin Residence houses up to 20 women for up to 6 months, and those staying in the Residence must be and stay drug and alcohol free.
The residents are helped through referral and informational programs in the areas of education, budgeting, goal setting, job seeking, and self-esteem. The women may have experienced economic difficulties or family problems, or they may be recovering from drug or alcohol abuse.
We wish to thank everyone who supported this outreach program. We truly appreciate your generous giving and thoughtfulness.
