Youth & Children Ministries

Nursery

During our Sunday Service, we have the nursery for age 0-3 years old, self service for parents to use.

Children’s Time

Children ages preschool through grade 5 are dismissed to the Youth Room for age appropriate lessons and activities relative to the day’s lectionary bible readings.

Each week, children, youth and adults are encouraged to come together around Word, song, and Sacrament to hear from God, be nourished by the gifts of grace, and be sent into the week in faith and service. Children are welcome to be in worship with their parents and participate fully in the service.

Youth are welcome to provide leadership through various aspects of the service as acolytes, readers/lectors, ushers, assistant ministers or sound/projection assistant

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

A time of fun, forming friendships, fellowship and learning, VBS is for Kindergarten through completed 5th graders.

The Youth Program

Our ministry for middle and high school students at LCC is growing. Youth are welcome and encouraged to be part of all aspects of congregational life together. Weekly youth group, monthly fellowship events, seasonal learning events, summer camps and mission trips and more are additional ways LCC seeks to connect youth with each other and those around them and deepen their relationship with God.

Confirmation

The opportunity to be part of the confirmation program here at LCC occurs at the age when young people are in a time of discovery in their lives. Time spent in confirmation classes is intended to provide students with opportunities to explore their faith and how it relates to the world around them, the church and their personal lives. During this time they are also part of an intentional faith community of peers and adults who are there to help support, challenge and shepherd them throughout their journey.
