First of all, congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

This is an exciting time for you and we would love to help you make this a truly meaningful and memorable experience.

At Lutheran Church of the Cross we hope that you are planning not only for your wedding but also, more importantly, for your marriage.  Of course, your wedding day is very important.  But the wedding ceremony lasts less than an hour, while your marriage is intended to last a lifetime.

To truly prepare for this important step, premarital preparation is really in your best interest.  Our Pastor is committed to helping you grow through this process as a couple, and as individual people of faith.  Because of this, we ask that all couples go through premarital preparation – either with our pastor or with another qualified pastor or counselor.

In addition, while we do not require those desiring to get married at LCC to be members of our congregation, we do hope that they will be attending this congregation or one like it.  Research has shown that churchgoers feel better about their marriages than those who do not attend worship, and that couples who attend church together are much more likely to be partners for life.  Faith in God can be the bedrock of a strong relationship, giving couples a supportive community, a means of receiving forgiveness, and a shared sense of purpose.  The worship service is a time of rest and renewal in your relationship.  Worshipping together strengthens marriage and makes the week ahead more meaningful.

For all these reasons we ask that you make a commitment as a couple to worship with us regularly if you reside locally.  If you live in another area, we can help you find a church home close to you.
