New to LCC?

We are happy to answer any questions! Call the church office (727) 525-8364 or ask a Greeter or Usher on Sunday. E-mail a staff member!

There are many exciting opportunities at LCC! Check out our Ministry Teams!

I am a New Member at LCC, Now What?!

5 Primary Expectations:

  1. Worship Every Sunday! We offer three worship experiences each Sunday at 8:15, 9:30 and 10:45 am. These experiences are centered on God's Word that comes to us through the Bible and in the Bread and Wine of Communion. Seasonal changes are made to each service.
  2. Pray Daily. There are a variety of prayer possibilities! Table prayer before eating is the most common form of prayer. Prayers such as "Come Lord Jesus, be our guest, and let these gifts to us be blessed. Blessed be God who is our Bread, may all the world be clothed and fed. Amen." The Lord's Prayer is another memorized prayer. Informal conversational prayer can include thanks, helps and praise.
  3. Grow in your faith and understanding of God. Attend a Bible study or other experience to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ.
  4. Give regularly. We ask people to make an intentional financial commitment to grow God's kingdom through Lutheran Church of the Cross. We emphasize percentage giving with the tithe (10%) being our Biblical example.
  5. Serve faithfully. Find a ministry such as being a greeter or singing in the choir, and become involved in your congregation.

Find Your Way In!

  • The best way to become a part of LCC is to participate in one or two ministry areas besides Sunday morning worship.
  • Participate in social activities such as the Progressive Dinner or Golf Tournament.
  • Help on Sunday mornings by ushering, reading a lesson, greeting, serving communion or serving coffee between services.  Training is provided and flexible scheduling is available! Email Sarah Bean for more information:  sarah@mylcc.com
  • Join one of the many Music Ministries in our congregation.
  • Teach or attend a Sunday School class. Call Lynn Cropper in the church office (727) 525-8364 for more information.
  • Invite a friend or neighbor who has no church home to worship with you!

Privileges of Belonging - Being a part of a faith community allows you to:

  2. Serve your community through the congregational social ministries.
  3. Have access to pastoral counsel during times of joy (baptism of a child) and difficulties (counseling during illness).
  4. The opportunity for early registration for LCC Preschool and Day School
  5. Feel you are making a difference in your community by sharing your talents and spritual gifts!
