Fall 2007 message from PD |
|
With schools back in session after a longer than usual summer break, our fall ministries are in session as well.
During the summer we welcomed our Intern Michelle Terry and her husband, Brad. Intern Michelle is a third-year seminary student at Southern Seminary. She will be with us the entire year, learning what it means to be a pastor in a congregation. She has already started a new ministry at LCC known at JOY (Just Older Youth) aimed at our retirement age people. They are planning a monthly activity and trip to different places of interest in our area. Watch for more information forthcoming about this ministry.
We continue to focus on transforming believers into belongers into becomers! By that I mean we want to strive to become the people God desires us to be. The best way I know for that to happen is to have the discipline to pray daily, worship weekly, read the Bible and study the Word, serve in our community, and give of oneself.
Pray, worship, study, serve, and give. All of our ministries revolve around those five life perspectives. I hope you will include those five principles in becoming the person that God desires you to become!
