We offer a gracious welcome to all who come as our guests. We hope all of our guests find meaning and inspiration in their time with us.
We offer three worship experiences:
- Saturday evenings at 5:30 pm (blended worship),
- Sunday mornings at 9 am (New Traditions)
- Sunday mornings at 10:30 am (Praise & Presence).
All experiences are focused on the Word of God and on the Presence of God.
The Saturday 5:30 pm and Sunday 9 am experiences use a mixture of different worship structures and hymns from a wide variety of sources and ages. The 10:45 am experience is more informal and led by our praise band. Praise songs and music are the emphasis for this hour.
We share communion at every worship service.
We offer early enrollment privileges in our dynamic and growing preschool, elementary and middle school. Lutheran Church of the Cross Day School is a faith-based ministry of our congregation.
We offer an excellent music ministry with a wide variety of styles and instruments. In the Lutheran tradition, we believe that music speaks to our hearts and our souls in a timeless manner.
We offer faith growing experiences for all ages. Sunday education takes place at 9:55 am in the Fellowship Hall for children ages preschool through 5th grade, middle school and high school youth, and for adults.
We offer a Wednesday afternoon faith enrichment time (Gather & Renew On Wednesdays ~ G.R.O.W.) with music and drama for various ages, confirmation instruction, adult studies & fellowship, and youth groups for ages Kindergarten through Middle School.
Other special programs for our young people:
- For kindergarten through 6th grade we offer “Faith Formation” events for youth and parents. These pastor led events are scheduled at a special place and time and help families grow in their understanding of a variety of faith topics.
- For fifth graders we offer a first communion instruction. This six-week class leads up to their first communion on Maundy Thursday (The Last Supper).
- For seventh and eighth graders, we offer a confirmation instruction that leads to our young people making faith commitments with Jesus Christ on Reformation Sunday.
- For high school youth we offer a Sunday morning Bible study called “Breakfast Club.” It is a great time to fill stomachs with a simple breakfast and souls with the Word of God. We also offer monthly activities for high school youth including movie nights, putt putt golf, and surfing.
We offer a variety of service opportunities for people to give of themselves to their community.
We offer meaningful ways for people to grow their faith, express their faith and give of themselves.
